Perchance to dream by Son-Neko Perchance to dream by Son-Neko
Well this is a result of not only waiting for figure drawing to start but also my sudden obsession with Bruce Timm's style of drawing. I really like the Batman episode "Growing Pains" its bitter sweet and has a very memorable one shot character in it names Annie. Robin aka Tim Drake befriends her and they are tragically separated in the end when her Father, ClayFace comes to reclaim her. (sorry for the spoilers)
Anyway I got into my head to think what could have happened if things turned out differently in the episode or Annie found a way to free herself from ClayFace. If she could somehow learn to manipulate her body like ClayFace does, she could be quite the superhero in her own right. I figured that she and Robin would make a cute dynamic duo/ crime fighting team. I guess this would be a scene of Annie aka Clay-Girl, (I know not very original, but the way I pick names is based on the Stan Lee School of character naming), showing up to save Robin's hash unexpectedly of course.

I like it, but you know, you could make a fanfict for this, and she never really had to be re-absorbed back into Clayface, she could have gotten away and Robin could have punctured the solvent tank and gotten away while Clayface was trying to get away from him and set fire to the stuff while he was at it. Then Robin and Annie could not only fight crime together, but also date each other, it's freaking brilliant!

If it's related to this, I'll look forward to it.

As for ambition upkeep, sometimes candy helps.

Love Clay Girl Annie! Powerful and beautiful.
I remember that episode very clearly. It was very sad.
Will you do more art of her?

Well, Kat, that's the great thing about fanfiction (and fanart, of course) you can do just whatever you like with the characters. Me, I think it is a little funny about the number of potential/actual superhero girls that Tim has left around Gotham. Anne wouldn't even be the only one with a villain dad either. Stephanie Brown/Spoiler is Arthur Brown/Cluemaster's estranged daughter.

For the record, I tend to pair Tim with Cassandra Cain/Batgirl. However, that might be a hold-over from my ardent support of Nightwing/Oracle shipping. Ah, comic book characters! Where would we lifeless adults be without them to obsess over? :D

I think you caught the style of the current Batman TAS very well in this sketch.

Not necessarily the cleverest name for a shapeshifter. I'd probably name her something not as similiar as Clayface, but with an obvious root in his name. I, for one, would pick "Putti".

Still, it's an interesting idea. I did see the episode, and it was kinda tragic. Although it was basically the writers' way of reviving Clayface after his "death", it was how they expanded on it that made the episode memorable. Robin's grieving for Annie at the end definitely ranks as one of the most serious moments I've ever seen in a cartoon.

Actually, I thought of a better one: "Claydoll"

I think I remember a few scenes from that episode. Really an interesting "what if" idea.

While I am not familiar with that particular episode (I'm lacking in pop-culture references; so what else is new?), the logic is impeccable, the artwork is neatly done, and, well ... there are lots worse people to emulate in the comic world than the original Titanic True Believer himself.

Once again, "ya done good," Kat.
