Fun day in San Francisco

Sun Dec 14, 2008, 11:56 AM
Oh boy I had fun on Saturday. I hung out with some friends for my "birthday party" a day late but who cares. It was loads of laughs and we went to Japan town in San Francisco and looked at all the cool stores. We also stopped for lunch at a Ramen noodle shop and the food was very tasty.
We then went down to Pier 39 and window shopped. We even saw my sister's frienemies the sea lions. Frienemies in the fact that, as a child, my sister got sat on by a sea lion at a sea creature amusement park show in Florida when we where little kids. I was the lucky one at that show I only got sea lion fishy smelling kisses from those water lovers. She hasn't yet forgive the sea lion community for that incident. But I digress. My buddy G was there for my party too and he couldn't understand why I wanted to go to the docks to see the sea lions at night so much. I wanted to see what they do at night on the docks, to which G replied that they do what they do during the day which is "bark and smell." Personally I don't think they smell that bad in the winter.

I got a load of Fables comic books for my birthday, which is a very cool series and I recommend reading. And my buddy Rishon who also attended drew a cool Code Lyoko picture for my birthday despite her computer acting up. Have a look [link]

Well that's all for now. I gotta get back to studying.

Happy Holidays!

Holy! You were at Japan town on Saturday?! I was there too! I was carrying a giant box with a sword in it. I ate a crepe though.

I was at the SJ Japan Town yesterday, because of a sale going on at Nijiya Market. Seems like you had a lot of fun, and looking at seals. Holy crap, I wish I had a crepe right now. |D

I'm glad you had fun, milady. SF can be a blast.

It's been a year and a half since I was in San Francisco. The Orchid (my lovely wife) and I spent a lot of time on Pier 39 -- it was May, our wedding anniversary week -- and we ate lots of seafood. (I wanted so much to just get a 55-gallon drum of clam chowder and just dive in and eat my way out :giggle: .)

I saw my first-ever double-decker merry-go-round on Pier 39 ... took a few pictures of it (example: [link] ) and was totally fascinated. Also saw the sea lions. Again, fascinated.

I'd love to go back. I missed a couple chances to go museum-hopping, which I hope to rectify.

Once again, I am glad you enjoyed yourself ... from what you have shared of your life in the last few months, it sounds like you deserved a break.

Neat. I've been to LA, but I've never been to San Fransisco. I live in Nowheresville.
